A Torrington woman has been found guilty of assaulting a family member with a baseball bat during a domestic incident in 2023.

A jury in Torrington Superior Court found 47-year-ild Amie Wilt of Torrington, guilty of second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on Oct. 2, according to a release from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice .

Court records show that officers from the Torrington Police Department responded to a residence on Dec. 20, 2023 for a domestic incident. During the investigation, police determined that Wilt had assaulted a family member with a baseball bat, according to court records.

Judge Ann E. Lynch, who presided over the jury trial, scheduled Wilt’s sentencing for Jan. 20, 2026, in Torrington Superior Court.
