Coming up on Monday, October 13 will be the next screening of a classic film by the Harbor Country Film Group at the New Buffalo Township Library.

The group was founded by Eve Moran, who has led multiple film clubs in Chicago. She tells us the library approached her about doing so locally about four years ago, and now film buffs gather there once a month to view the selections and discuss. Moran says she tries to find hidden gems — the kinds of films Roger Ebert would have appreciated.

“ I studied film with Roger Ebert for, I don’t know, 20 some years, a nd Roger often focused on the films of one director, but other times he did these mixed genre of film semesters,” Moran said.
