AUBURN, Wash. — After community pushback in Federal Way, convicted rapist Kevin Coe is now living in the city of Auburn.
Coe was released from civil confinement last week after nearly 20 years in state custody on McNeil Island, where he had been committed as a sexually violent predator. He served 25 years in prison prior to being sent to McNeil Island.
Coe, now 78, was set to live in an adult family home in Federal Way . The King County Sheriff's Office said the change of location was sparked by the community’s response.
“The opportunity arose for him to go to this facility in Auburn after Federal Way received some pushback,” the sheriff’s office told KING 5 on Oct. 7.
According to records, Coe will reside at an adult home located in the 2900 block of 15th Street Southeast in Aubu
