The Oct. 4 loss to Cincinnati wasn't the only recent setback for Iowa State football.
Milan Parris, a four-star wide receiver from North Akron, Ohio, announced that he was decommitting from the Cyclones on Tuesday, Oct. 7. He was Iowa State's highest-ranked commit in the Cyclones' 2026 recruiting class , after standout quarterback Jett Thomalla flipped to Alabama back in July.
According to 247 Sports' recruiting rankings, Parris is the No. 21-ranked wide receiver nationally in his class. He is also ranked No. 159 overall. With his de-commitment, Parris is the highest-ranked unsigned wide receiver in the 2026 class as of Oct. 7.
The 6-foot-5½, 205-pound receiver originally committed to Iowa State on Jan. 26.
