BURBANK – A man who was struck and killed by a Los Angeles-bound Metrolink train at the downtown Burbank station was identified Tuesday.

The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Friday on the tracks west of the pedestrian crossing at the downtown Burbank Metrolink Station, 201 N. Front St., between Magnolia Boulevard and Olive Avenue, Metrolink spokeswoman Laurene Lopez told City News Service.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as Christopher Duthridge, 47. Duthridge was pronounced dead at the scene, Lopez said.

“After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, it was determined that the decedent intentionally positioned himself on the train tracks as the train was approaching,” according to a police statement. “The train, which
