BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M’s Middle Blocker Ifenna Cos-Okpalla won her second straight SEC Player of the Week award while receiving her third defensive player of the week honor.

In the Aggies’ wins against South Carolina and Alabama, Okpalla finished with 14 blocks, 13 kills and seven aces.

Looking ahead, No. 9 Texas A&M Volleyball will host No. 3 Kentucky Wednesday night at Reed Arena.

A&M was swept on the road by Kentucky in 2024, (25-22, 25-20, 25-14).

Kentucky is 10-2 overall and 3-0 in conference.

“You have two really good offenses and two really good blocking defenses and it could end up being an offensive slugfest,” said Head Coach Jamie Morrison.

According to NCAA, Kentucky is fourth in the country in kills per set, 14.68.
