CNN's Kaitlan Collins and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) clashed on Tuesday night over health care subsidies that Jordan claimed are preventing Congress from passing a funding bill to reopen the government.

Jordan joined Collins on her show "The Source" to discuss the government shutdown. The two got into a fiery debate over health care subsidies, which Republicans have used to accuse Democrats of trying to use to provide free health care to illegal immigrants.

Collins pressed Jordan about whether he would support extending the Affordable Care Act subsidies that are about to expire, which could significantly increase health care costs for millions of Americans.

Jordan said he would consider the issue, but then pivoted to blame illegal immigrants for rising health care costs.

"The Democrats want health care for people who are non-citizens," Jordan said. "That's driving up health care costs."

"Don't change the subject!" Collins shot back at Jordan. "The subject is you're talking about health care."
