‘The only way I’m coming out is dead,’ suspect told police during Wilbraham standoff, court documents say

PALMER — New details have emerged about a police standoff in Wilbraham on Oct. 3.

Nidal Sholi was arrested in the middle of the incident after police found him passed out on his bed with an open bottle of vodka and a gun on his nightstand, according to records in Palmer District Court.

The standoff — which was preceded by Sholi firing a gun on his property — prompted a shelter-in-place order by police for residents of the neighborhood.
