British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Mumbai this morning for a two-day visit. This is his first trip to India since becoming Prime Minister.
The purpose of this visit is to further strengthen the ties between India and the UK. PM Modi will meet Starmer in Mumbai and discuss the development of partnerships under the 'Vision 2030' initiative.
Earlier, PM Modi had visited the UK in August this year, where he signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Starmer.
The aim of this agreement is to double bilateral trade by 2030, reaching $120 billion. The FTA will make it easier to sell Indian products such as textiles, leather, and agricultural goods in the UK, while British whisky and cars will benefit in the Indian market.
4 key issues will be discussed during Starmer's India visit
