JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish's Night Out Against Crime celebration had over two dozen locations hosting events.
One location was found at Munholland Methodist Church ran by the Brockenbraugh and Homestead association.
The association's president, Grant Worrell, says she has hosted her party for years looking to give back to her local law enforcement community.
"I mean it's a great opportunity to meet them, to get their contact information, and to know that they are there in case you are to ever need anyone," Worrell said.
She says these events are an opportunity for in-person conversations between law enforcement leaders and city officials on the latest projects happening in their communities.
"We are actually currently working with Project NOLA to get crime cameras
