Comerica Park Detroit Tigers

Update: 4:46 p.m. Monday: The Detroit News reports that First Third Bancorp's announced acquisition Monday of Comerica bank will result in a name change to Comerica Park, possibly as soon as 2027.

There are no plans to change the stadium’s name for the 2026 Tigers season but officials said a rebrand is coming. Comerica bank will eventually be called First Third Bancorp.

The bank said it will work collaboratively with the Ilitch family, owners of the team, The News reports.

First Third Bancorp is acquiring Comerica bank in an all-stock transaction valued at $10.9 billion, according to a press release on Monday.
