JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A pedestrian has been killed on a highway in Jasper County Tuesday night.

According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 62, just north of County Road 826 in south Jasper County. Havard said that Hwy 62 will be shut down for awhile.

Havard said that DPS will be investigating the crash.
