DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Dubuque voters cast their ballots Tuesday to choose the candidates for the mayoral and city council seats who will advance to the November elections.
Following Tuesday’s primary election, Current Mayor Brad Cavanagh and non-profit executive Jason Davis will advance to the general election next month.
Cavanagh received nearly 55% of the vote, and Davis got 37%.
Challenger Deb Borley received less than eight percent of the vote.

Carmen Hernandez and Tyson Leyendecker have advanced to the November general election for Dubuque’s 1st Ward city council seat.
