Cam Schlittler threw eight shutout innings to punch out the Boston Red Sox in the wild-card prologue last week. A masterful 12-strikeout performance at least equal to what Trey Yesavage engineered for Toronto in Game 2 of the American League division series. And he didn’t get a too-hasty hook from his manager, either.
