NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio -- North Royalton residents -- in addition to deciding whether City Council members can hold “appointed public office” with a government outside of North Royalton -- will vote on two other proposed municipal charter amendments this fall.
Issue 26 would allow the city to consider more candidates for police chief and fire chief whenever those positions become vacant.
Issue 27 would clarify which city employees are not classified workers. Classified workers must take civil service tests to get hired, while non-classified workers are not tested.

The election is Nov. 4. Early voting starts today (Oct. 7).
