UPDATE : October 7 at 9:00 p.m.

The Labor Mountain Fire remains only 10 percent contained as it continues to burn through more than 37,000 acres of timber and brush.

A total of 1,510 personnel are actively fighting the flames.

Meantime, progress has been made on the Lower Sugarloaf Fire, now 55% contained and burning over 41,000 acres northeast of Leavenworth.

More than 1,200 personnel have been assigned to combat the fire. Evacuation levels 3, 2 and 1 remain in place in Chelan County.
