TORRANCE COUNTY, N.M. —

Torrance County officials are addressing misinformation on social media that links McCall's Pumpkin Patch to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

On Wednesday, the Torrance County Commissioners will meet for a regular scheduled meeting ; however, a discussion has been added to address "McCall’s Pumpkin Patch and Torrance County’s Intergovernmental Agreement with the US Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement."

Ryan Schwebach, the Torrance County Chair Commissioner, wants people to know ICE is not involved with the pumpkin patch and plans to address this.

"What is being discussed is an email that was sent out by the teachers' union concerning the pumpkin patch and the effect it has on the local business," said Schwebach.
