For many Indian students, Canada has long been one of the most preferred destinations for higher education. With the United States tightening visa rules, rising costs, and growing uncertainties, Canada’s openness, safety, work rights, and post-study opportunities have made it even more appealing.
A 2025 ApplyBoard survey found that 94 percent of Indian study-abroad aspirants still prefer Canada as their first choice.
