MURRAY – The chief of the Murray State University Police Department said Tuesday that the findings published in its annual Security and Fire Safety Report show that crime remains relatively low on campus, but there is always room for improvement.

The MSU Police Department said it publishes the Security and Fire Safety Report annually to inform the Murray State community about campus security policies, initiatives to prevent and respond to crime and emergencies, the occurrence of crime on campus, and required fire safety and education information. The statistics reported are compiled from the year before, 2024 in this case.
