The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), India’s first fully digital and AI-enabled airport, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, October 8. Developed under a public-private partnership between Adani Airport Holdings and CIDCO, the state-of-the-art facility will begin commercial operations in December.

Built at a cost of ₹19,650 crore, the 1,160-hectare airport will initially handle 20 million passengers annually with one runway and terminal, eventually expanding to a capacity of 155 million passengers with four terminals and two runways. The airport will generate over two lakh jobs across aviation, logistics, IT, hospitality, and real estate sectors.
