Aubrie Moore

ISHPEMING – Kingsford sophomore Aubrie Moore was named the U.P. Division 1 player of the year after capturing the 2025 singles title at the U.P. Finals meet on Oct. 1.

With her 6-2, 6-1 victory over Negaunee’s Liliana Saunders in the final, Moore completed her season undefeated. Moore was also part of the all-U.P. Division 1 first team and was named to the all-state Division 2 squad.

Kingsford’s Maddy Sleik was also picked to the singles first team, while Flivver doubles pairings Aubrey Bellmore and Kylee Woodward along with Alaysa Bacon and Mira Johnson were given honorable mention on the doubles team.

Other members of the singles first team included Saunders (who was named to the D2 all-state squad), Rheana Nelson of Negaunee, Samantha Ruby of Westwood, Morgan Schneider
