Gateway Mining has fired the starting gun on a 44,000-metre aircore assault at its flagship Yandal gold project, about 85 km northeast of Wiluna in Western Australia’s northeastern Yilgarn Craton, kicking off what it hopes will be the first chapter in a major resource rewrite across a highly-prospective structural corridor that has never been fully drilled.

The project encloses 1780 square kilometres along the eastern flank of the prolific Yandal Greenstone Belt which also hosts other major gold operations like Northern Star’s Jundee mine, known for its Archaean high-grade, narrow-vein, lode-style gold deposits.
