The National Weather Service released a coastal flood statement at 3:04 a.m. on Wednesday valid between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. for Nassau County.
The weather service comments, "Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline."
"Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline," says the weather service. "Do not drive through flooded roadways."
