Zenith Minerals has locked in its big new Queensland gold discovery, with some eye-catching, thick gold intercepts from its Red Mountain project near Bundaberg.

Fresh assays from its two intercepting diamond holes have locked in wide mineralisation with solid grades down to 530 metres vertical depth.

The Queensland project is shaping up as a hefty intrusion-related gold system (IRGS) with room to grow west and deeper as the mineralisation shows tell-tale signs of a million-ounce-plus Mt Wright-style IRGS.

The headline grabber is the first hole sunk at Red Mountain, where results stretch the earlier 139.7 metres hit running 1.05 gr
