Tensions are running high in Tripura’s political circles following the alleged vandalism of the Trinamool Congress office in Agartala. On Wednesday morning, a five-member Trinamool delegation departed for Tripura to assess the situation.

Delegation faces police obstruction at Agartala airport

The moment the delegation team stepped outside Agartala airport, the Trinamool delegation faced police obstruction. Members of the team engaged in heated arguments with the police, alleging they were not allowed to book auto or prepaid taxis. It is reported that, citing law and order concerns, they were prevented from leaving the airport premises. In protest, delegation members Kunal Ghosh, Saayoni Ghosh, Pratima Mondal, Sudip Raha, Susmita Dev, and Birbaha Hansda staged a sit-in demonstration.
