California-based importer In Motion Design Inc. is recalling about 98,350 toy eggs containing harmful levels of lead.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Oct. 2, involving gold Evermore Surprise Eggs, wrapped in yellow, pink, or green retail packaging. The eggs contain a variety of toys including a toy airplane that has been identified as the hazard.

Officials stated that the toy airplanes inside the eggs, which were manufactured in China, may contain levels of lead that exceed the federal limits. They warn that lead can be toxic if ingested by children and may cause serious health issues.
