Closing arguments were set to begin Wednesday morning in the murder trial of two Jacksonville men accused in the 2022 drive-by shooting death of 13-year-old Prince Holland.

Kentrevious Garard, 27, and Marcel Johnson, 25, are both facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the teen’s death. The suspects are facing separate juries in their combined trial.

Closing arguments will come a day after Garard took the stand in his own defense, claiming he wasn’t involved in criminal activity and trying to distance himself from others tied to the case.
