The recent Sharada Festival procession faced obstruction from the police. According to BJP district president Jagadish Kuvettbail, the police officials deliberately tried to sabotage the well-organized Ullal Sharada Festival, effectively putting a black mark on the district’s celebrations. He alleged that the police halted the procession in Ullal and even detained three individuals, which he termed unacceptable.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the BJP Mangaluru district at the Ullal Press Club, Kuvettbail said that following the incident, protesters stopped the procession and staged a demonstration outside the police station.
