Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain may resume in Odisha from Thursday with a cyclonic circulation brewing over the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.

According to the midday bulletin, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around October 10. However, it is yet to make any prediction on the strength and trajectory of the new weather system. ADVERTISEMENT

On October 6, thunderstorm along with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may continue in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal and Boudh.
