CANAAN, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Authorities are searching for a missing 84-year-old man.

State police were first notified about the disappearance of Jean Claude Fauteux on Tuesday at about 4:38 p.m. Officers say Fauteux, a Canaan resident, was last seen at his Vermont Route 114 home in Canaan earlier that day.

Fauteux is 135 pounds and 5’5" tall. He is believed to be wearing black pants, a blue and white shirt, glasses plus a hat. There are concerns for his welfare, and there is "no indication Fauteux is missing under suspicious circumstances".
