The Supreme Court is likely to hear a plea by Tamil actor Joseph Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), on Friday against the Madras High Court’s direction setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the September 27 Karur stampede, which killed 41 people.
The counsel for the TVK mentioned it before Chief Justice of India B R Gavai, seeking urgent listing.
