India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj reached career-best positions in the latest ICC Test rankings following India’s commanding victory over the West Indies in the opening match of the World Test Championship series in Ahmedabad.

Jadeja, 36, scored an unbeaten 104 in India’s only innings, lifting him to a career-high 25th spot in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings, up from his previous best of 29th in July. His four wickets in the second innings reinforced his standing atop the all-rounders’ rankings, extending his lead to 125 points over Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan.

Siraj, building on his strong performance during India’s England tour, took four for 40 and three for 31 in the match, propelling him three spots to a career-high 12th position with over 700 rating
