WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Today West Warwick voters will go to the polls in a special referendum to decide if they will fund school renovation projects.

If approved, $71 million in general obligation funds would be freed for renovations.

The largest chunk of that money would go towards Maisie Quinn School, to allow it to house preschool and elementary school programs.

Additional funds would also go towards other projects in the town, including adding a science lab and classroom expansion at West Warwick High School, an elevator at Horgan Elementary School and a media center renovation at Deering Middle School.
