Brian F. Hagan is completing his 18th year as judge of Rocky River Municipal Court, which serves the communities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River, and Westlake.

Hagan, 69, of Rocky River, is the court’s administrative and presiding judge, and seeks re-election to what will be his final term before hitting the state’s age cutoff of 70 to run for judicial office. There is no reason voters in the five communities served by this court should say “no” to this last term for Hagan, who has served with distinction and steadiness.

Hagan knows firsthand that the Westshore communities are not immune to the crime, substance abuse disorder and mental health challenges prevalent elsewhere. He’s grateful that the Rocky River court can access some of the specialized dockets and
