BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Happy Wednesday everyone. After a hot and sunny stretch of weather the last several days, we are waking up this Wednesday morning to some much-needed rain which is falling mostly to the NW of the interstate as a cold front passes down through Maine. Rain will work down across the interstate to the Midcoast by 8am, with all Downeast spots starting to receive rain by 10am.

Northwestern Maine will start to dry out by the late morning hours, while the rest of the state remains under consistent and refreshing rain. By midday, areas in Western and Northern spots will start to dry out, with heavier rain along the Midcoast, Downeast, and the Bangor region. Once the afternoon hits, rain will exit most areas, finally leaving all Downeast spots by 2-3pm.
