Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has broken his silence on the surprise Joe Flacco trade.
On Tuesday, news broke that the Browns traded Joe Flacco and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the archrival Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a fifth-round pick. The move came a week after the Browns benched Flacco in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel, with Shedeur Sanders staying on the bench.
Flacco, Gabriel, Sanders and Kenny Pickett were in a four-way competition for the Browns’ starting quarterback job in the offseason. Cleveland traded Pickett to the Las Vegas Raiders in August, and Flacco was named the starting quarterback.
