Big Brother housemate George Gilbert has been ejected from this year’s series.

On Wednesday afternoon, an ITV spokesperson confirmed that George had been removed due to repeated instances of “unacceptable language and behaviour”.

“Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme,” a statement said.

The comments that led to George’s ejection will not be aired in tonight’s highlights show as they go against broadcasting standards.

It has also been revealed that this had been the case for past instances in which he was reprimanded for his language and behaviour earlier in the series.
