JSW Cement has commissioned a new one million tonne modern cement grinding unit through its subsidiary Shiva Cement at Sambalpur in Odisha.

The new facility was funded and supervised by its majority-owned subsidiary Shiva Cement through a commercial arrangement with Bhushan Power and Steel. With this, the total installed capacity of JSW Cement goes up to 21.6 MTPA.

Nilesh Narwekar, Chief Executive Officer, JSW Cement said the new plant is a strategic initiative to consolidate and further grow in the eastern markets which has registered rapid expansion in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
