MISSOULA — When Michael Wortham turned a direct snap into an 11-yard touchdown run against Idaho on Sept. 27 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, the ESPN2 broadcast shared an interesting comment about Montana's do-it-all player.

"Offensive coordinator Brent Pease calls him the smartest player I've ever met," play-by-play man Clay Matvick said.

That's the same Brent Pease who was an assistant coaching quarterback Dave Dickenson, who led the Grizzlies to the 1995 I-AA/FCS national championship, won the Walter Payton Award and made the College Football Hall of Fame.
