KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Stella Parton, a sister of country music star Dolly Parton, has spoken out after a post from Freida Parton Tuesday sparked concerns over the musician’s health.

“My big sister Dolly posted last week, giving her fans an update concerning her health and that she has been seeking treatment for kidney stones,” Stella Parton said in a Wednesday Facebook post.

Her own response was prompted by the national attention garnered from Freida Parton’s post, which put out a call for prayers as Dolly recovers from her treatment.

While much of the social media traffic was positive, in her Wednesday response, Stella Parton said people had pushed for personal information.
