(The Hill) — Jeff Bridges is channeling The Dude, his famed character from "The Big Lebowski," to speak out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"Let's get ICE off the streets and into our beverages, man," Bridges said as The Dude during an appearance Tuesday on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

"This aggression will not stand!" Bridges said, in a nod to one of his famous lines from the 1998 film.

"Let's just abide, abide together," the 75-year-old actor said to applause. "We can do this together."

The comments came after Kimmel, a frequent critic of President Trump, told Bridges, "I feel like we are in such a troubled time."

"People are getting crazier every day," Kimmel said, before asking Bridges to "summon The Dude to share some words of wisdom."
