GREER, S.C. (WSPA) -- Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is set to undertake a major runway rehabilitation project starting in the summer of 2026, aiming to enhance safety and efficiency for years to come.

The project will involve repaving Runway 4/22, which has not been paved in 17 years, along with addressing the shoulders that have not been maintained in 30 years. This includes repaving over 6,500 feet of runway and 11,001 feet of shoulder and safety areas, repairing concrete panels, and replacing runway markings.
