The Cleveland Browns made what is apparently one of the most shocking moves of the NFL season on Tuesday by trading quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals.
While everyone picks their jaws up from the floor in the wake of the first completed trade between the longtime divisional rivals*, the deal opened up a roster spot that the Browns needed to fill as they prepare for this week’s road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
General manager Andrew Berry checked off that box on Wednesday morning as the club signed cornerback Dom Jones from the practice squad.
