COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — The College Park Police Department said they are investigating after a shooting left one person hurt on Tuesday.

Officers, along with fire and rescue personnel, were called to Church's Chicken located on Old National Highway in reference to the incident.

According to police, the victim told officers he was walking out of a store located at 5110 Old National Highway when a group of unknown males approached him and started shooting.

The group was sitting in a vehicle at a gas station at pump number 1 before they got out of the vehicle and fired shots, police said.

The victim ran to Church's Chicken to escape the gunfire. He was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
