As part of its strategy to diversify revenue beyond ticket sales, PVR INOX has launched its first dine-in cinema experience in Bengaluru. Aamer Bijli, Lead Specialist- Innovation, Film Marketing and Digital Programming, PVR INOX, said that the format aims to make cinemas a “third space”.
The move comes as PVR INOX continues to emphasise food and beverage (F&B) as a major growth driver. In FY25, revenue from the sale of movie tickets stood at ₹2,942.4 crore, down from ₹3,258.2 crore in FY24, while F&B revenue totalled ₹1,733.5 crore in FY25. Notably, in FY24, PVR INOX’s F&B revenue grew 21 per cent to ₹1,958.4 crore from ₹1,618 crore in FY23, outpacing ticketing revenue growth of 19 per cent to ₹3,279.9 crore, as per its annual report.
