A former Big Brother participant from Plymouth has claimed that the popular reality show has "lost its appeal" and is now "boring to watch".

The social experiment first hit television screens a quarter of a century ago, featuring 10 contestants entering the iconic house, reports Bristol Live .

From heated arguments to budding romances, the original reality programme quickly became a national sensation, launching the careers of some of today's most well-known reality stars, including Alison Hammond and Kate Lawler.
