Hundreds of students across the district walked or biked to school Wednesday morning in support of a Helena Public Schools district initiative.
Walk or Bike to School Day in the district celebrated its neighborhood schools by having parents and students ride their bikes or walk to school.
Students were met at Central Elementary School with hot chocolate served by parents and staff, while parents were offered coffee on a roughly 40-degree morning.
Some students rolled into school on roller skates.
Other schools that participated were Rossiter, Warren, Bryant, Four Georgians and Smith elementary schools.
