PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is preparing to transform its visual arts program through innovative new learning practices and creative spaces thanks to a $5 million gift from the Windgate Foundation.

The funds will be used to build a new Art Tower at the Hathaway-Howard Fine Arts Center, expand classroom and studio spaces, and modernize the facilities as the center undergoes its first major renovation in more than three decades..

Chancellor Anthony Graham announced the investment on October 8, noting that it is the largest single investment in the university’s history.
