DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- A Rehobeth man was arrested Tuesday evening after investigators claimed he attacked his wife and stepdaughter after a heated argument.

On the evening of Tuesday, October 7, deputies with the Houston County Sheriff's Office rushed to the 300 block of Lantana Court in Rehobeth after dispatch received a call from a young girl claiming that her mother had been stabbed.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the victim at a neighbor's house. She was treated on the scene before being taken to a local hospital.

According to the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the victim and her husband, 48-year-old Benford Mafuvadze, had gotten into an argument, and when it turned violent and Mafuvadze began throwing objects at her, the victim ran out of the house.
