Agartala, 8 th October 2025 : A brief but intense rainfall on Wednesday morning left several parts of the city waterlogged, causing significant inconvenience for residents.

Key areas affected include Bidhurkata Choumuhani, Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, RMS Choumuhani, Lakshminarayan Bari Road, Lal Bahadur Choumuhani, IGM Chowmuhani and Shakuntala Road, where water accumulated on the streets. In some areas, the water reached knee-level.

The heavy downpour began around 11 a.m., following a few earlier spells of rain. Commuters heading to offices and courts were forced to seek shelter under the verandas of shops and buildings. After waiting for an hour, they faced even greater difficulties as streets remained submerged.
